Vantage Point Announces Public Release of VR Sexual Harassment Training Program
Morgan Mercer and the team at Vantage Point are looking to eradicate sexual assault and sexual harassment, with the help of virtual reality. The team says that existing educational programs fail in several way to truly help victims of sexual assault and sexual harassment.

After a recent crowdfunding campaign Vantage Point attracted the interest of many thought leaders in the VR space including Tony Parisi of Unity Technologies. Recently Vantage Point has been accepted into Boost VC, the XR and cryptocurrency accelerator run by Adam Draper, son of investor Tim Draper.
Vantage Point was also recently selected as one of the 1st companies to participate in the Women in XR Venture Fund, and will be demoing at Women in Film’s When Women Thrive + ReFrame. To coincide with the teams recent traction, Vantage Point is now publicly accepting demo requests, and has plans to roll out it’s training program to select enterprise partners starting in March. Recently Katherine Kendall, a sexual violence activist that was the first to publicly speak out against Harvey Weinstein in The New York Times, joined Vantage Point as a spokesperson.
“Vantage Point allows users to detect sexual harassment cues and nuances that aren’t apparent in 2D video,” said Morgan Mercer, Founder and CEO of Vantage Point. “Right now, in the initial stages, we’re focusing on bystander intervention because it’s not enough to not be a part of the problem. You have to be an active part of the solution. It’s not enough to say, ‘I didn’t sexually harass anyone.’ You have to actively acknowledge the situation is going on and speak up to take a global or community accountability, but first we need to give employees and users both the knowledge of how and when to speak up, and the confidence in their ability to speak up. Through more effective training, we can both improve accuracy, and emphasize communal accountability.”
